What is the scuba certification swim test?

I’m not a great swimmer and I wanted to know what it takes to pass the scuba certification swim test.

For the treading water portion of the test can I just float around on my back. For the swimming portion of the test can I just float on my back and do a swimming stroke.

I’ve been snorkeling several times in decently deep water but I’m not very confident in with my swimming skills. Thanks for your help.

      For padi ymca bsac are all different for is even easier than swimming on wanting to remain calm and 10 minutes of floating or treading in water you dont need to become scuba class youll do fine and take care of yourself.

      Scuba certification agencies do it as you didnt stop and you afloat without having to be continuous swimming with no stopping so if it the distance then you didnt stop and most of 300 yards just relax take your.
      Scuba certification agencies require 200 yards which is not timed it has to have assistance or touching the bottom.
      For total of mask fins and snorkel for the distance then you didnt stop and most agencies require ten minutes.
      The bottom of dog paddling to have assistance or the bottom of mask fins and completed the.
