I need to know what’s it called?
Do you have to go on a boat and jump off
or a shore?

It depends exactly where you are diving. Sometimes, it will be from a boat, other times it may be from a jetty or pier. Or you may walk into the water from the shore.

The stern of the boat on boat made for scuba diving from dockpier one can just flat area that one can just.
The side and roll off the side and roll off the side and roll off the boat on shore dive one can easily stand with fins other boats not made specifically for.

It is not good for scuba divers to jump off of anything.
All entries on scuba are walk in or roll in entries.
Back roll in entry
Giant stride entry
controlled seated entry
They are done from docks, piers, beaches, the dive platform at the stern (back part) of the boat.
They are the same basic entries that snorkelers also use.
