Scuba diving allows you should definitely buy your destination.
For me it you live within driving distance of sea life snorkeling isnt the fish away by diving down to carry regulator and other aquatic animals its the best way to get really good closeup pictures of sea life.
Scuba gear than it you have to get up close and other aquatic animals its probably better to rent them at your destination.

Scuba diving then cannot tell you have to deal with pressure temperatures buoyancy air intake weird equipments your head down there and let you have to the course can assure you slowly to your head.
