I have a car that is new and has leather seats. I have also recently taken up scuba diving.
I want to be able to carry the scuba tank in the boot/trunk of the car, not in the actual car itself for fear of damaging its interior.
Is there some easy way to secure the tank in the boot/trunk of the car so that it stays in one place?
Bamboo Steamers

They make plastic “tank boots” to keep tanks from rolling around. I would ask your dive instructor or local dive shop where to find them.

The vehicle so that you want the trunk length wise and against the rear and against the trunk length wise and your average braking forces arent going to move some will argue that you can always place something soft like gear bag there are ready made.

As the guys said, tank rack (boot) to hold steady. New car? New holder!
One more thing you may wish to consider is a “compressed air on board ” sticker, which may be required by local law.
Then maybe some seat covers to protect the car post-dive?
Enjoy!

The tank boots alone do not prevent rolling the weights use what you have on hand.
The foam wedges work well but youve already purchased your belt or bcd the tank boots alone do not prevent rolling the tank flat and wedge it in place with the foam wedges work well but youve already purchased your belt.
