How do I find my SCUBA certification number?

I got certified through SSI (SCUBA Schools International) and my friend was certified through PADI. I have a string of 20 numbers and letters written under my name on my card, but she only has about half the numbers and letters. Is that because these are different companies? Is that whole string of numbers/letters my SCUBA number or just a certain string of it?

The training agency has its own certification number so yes the whole string of numbers is your certification number in general when you are asked for the number in general when you will be asked for the training agency name as well.
