Best way to start scuba diving?

My husband and I are interested in scuba diving during a trip to Jamaica this summer. Is it better to get certified before we go there or to do it when we are there? If we do it while we are there how long does it take and how expensive is it usually? Is it even necessary to have a certification?

An old scuba instructor enjoy yourself than trying to be certified before going because you will learn it is necessary to get certified for many different reasonsim an old scuba instructor enjoy.
My opinion it is better to be certified before going because you will learn more that wayand have more that wayand have.

I highly suggest that you take your classes here. Even though PADI requirements are “usually” met in other countries, the U.S. is much more strict at making sure the students understand all aspects of diving. When it comes down to it, it’s “YOUR” safety at risk, is it worth it??
Better to be safe, than sorry.
The whole idea of diving is enjoying the under sea world, and doing it as safe as possible is key!
