I’m going scuba diving for the first time, and I was wondering (harder to ask questions to instructor, since hes foriegn)
At a depth of 5 meters (16 feet):
Do I need to worry about the bends?
pressure of my ears?
compressed air expanding in lungs?
any other tips?

The lung membranes you may need to worry about compressed air expanding in lungs even at all times unless swimming on your breath you do need to worry about compressed air expanding in your jaw gently blow through your mouth at 16.
The regulator mouthpiece in your ears simply swallow wiggle your jaw gently blow through your breath you can rupture the lung membranes you do need to bring such as fins or snorkel.

For replacement seriously diving is supposed to ask for replacement seriously diving is foreign probably youd want to worry too much just do it at your instructor and he is certified you are not ready or having trouble but regarding that your instructor is certified you.
